TECHNOLOGY

ATI- Alta tecnologia Italiana is known for its innovations; in the last ten years two of them became a new reference in the audio industry:

The crystallized cone

Introduced for the first time in 2013, the crystallized cone represent one of the few real innovations in the last century. Combining the pure cotton smoothness with the details of a crystallized structure we created the perfect cone for the speakers.

To reach the musicality peaks of the cotton cone we had to find a solution in which it would have acquired the necessary rigidity to provide an excellent bass response without losing the delicate touch on the upper frequencies. The only solution was a natural process, the crystallization of the cotton fiber.

After 7 years in the market we introduced the evolution of the first crystallized cones. Now we can control the structure of the crystals thanks to the nucleation process.

After years of tests and experiments we found that the triclinic crystallization system was the most appropriate for the sound reproduction and we adopted it for the 2020 products

In this process we are using Larimar.

Larimar is a rare blue variety of pectolite found in 1850, for the first time, in Italy on Baldo Mountain in the Verona County. Its coloration varies from white, light-blue, green-blue to deep blue.

Larimar is an acid silicate hydrate of calcium and sodium. While pectolite is found in many colors, larimar has a unique volcanic blue coloration, which is the result of copper substitution for calcium.

Larimar crystal system is triclinic and it is described by three basis vectors of unequal length, as in the orthorhombic system. The angles between these vectors must all be different and may not include 90°.

The WMT

The speakers are divided into categories based on the frequencies they reproduce or in some cases, mainly in the Professional Audio, there are the full range speakers meaning that the speaker can reproduce a wide range of frequency, but this is a compromise.

We invented and engineered a new speaker and we named it WMT since it is, at the same time, a Woofer, a Midrange and a Tweeter.

Each part of the speaker works in its range, the cone reproduces the lower frequencies, the dual cone the mid frequecies, while the bullet takes care of the higher frequencies.

This new category of speakers can reproduce the frequencies of a woofer, of a midrange and a tweeter with the same attitude of each speaker, in just 2.5″ diameter, peaking the 23.000 Hz.

From 2020 we extended the WMT concept also to the 6.5” drivers for an incredible musical experience.
